We are inviting you to join a Pastry Master Class organized by the International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate.
This is a five-day theoretical experiential course, where the following topics will be studied: ice cream, artistic sugar, cake design and airbrushing. All participants will receive a year membership card to the Federation and Certificate of Attendance.
Chef-instructor – Barbara Castiglione
Barbara is a professional sugar artist, member of Italian Cooking Federation FIC and the Italian Pastry Federation (FIP). Last year she won 4 international contests with her sugar sculptures, which you can see on Facebook at Barbara Castiglione Zucchero Artistico or at the page Sugar Zen - Zucchero Artistico.
Her aim is teaching and sharing this beautiful art with those who are interested in these fascinating skills.
After attending the course, you will have acquired the skills necessary to become a sugar artist, to start cooking, coloring, storing, pouring, spinning, pulling and blowing sugar and you will learn techniques to decorate cakes, giving them an astonishing effect.
Some people avoid artistic sugar, because they think it is too difficult to work with an infrared lamp, but the lamp is actually not crucial in the beginning and everyone can learn and use the acquired skills using just a minimum of inexpensive equipment.
